Trust & safety

All the reach of an open marketplace. None of the risk.

The trouble with sourcing gear and people online is everything else that comes with it — strangers, cash hand-offs, no recourse. Quid keeps the reach and removes the danger by sitting in the middle of every deal. You never wire a stranger, never meet one cold, and never eat the loss if something goes wrong. It's safe because it goes through us.

01

Payment only ever goes through Quid

Money never moves buyer-to-supplier. Your payment and any deposit are held in escrow by Quid — suppliers are paid out by us only after the event goes right, and a clean return releases your deposit automatically. There's no off-platform payment to be scammed on, because there is no off-platform payment.

Screened before they can ever be booked

A new supplier is invisible and unbookable until they clear screening: a denylist + sanctions check at signup, then ID, insurance, and criminal-background vetting through Harbor Vetting. Pass and you go live; fail and you never appear. Anyone can report a concern, and enough reports auto-suspend a supplier pending review. Honest about it: this is screening, vetting, and fast removal — risk reduction, not a promise that nothing can ever go wrong.

03

Everyone is vetted

Companies submit proof of insurance and an ID reference; talent is verified before they can carry the Vetted badge or list in the Signature register. You always see who you're dealing with.

Proof on both sides

Timestamped condition photos at hand-off and at return mean “it was already scratched” is settled by the record, not an argument. Both parties are protected by the same evidence.

If it goes wrong, you're covered

Report a problem and the deposit is held pending review instead of auto-released. And if a supplier no-shows, Quid auto-rebooks the next-best available option nearby — so your event still happens.

No off-platform deals

Keep it on Quid. The moment a deal moves off-platform it loses every protection here — escrow, vetting, proof, and recourse all live on Quid. If anyone asks you to pay outside, that's the red flag.

One counterparty: Quid

You contract with Quid, not a dozen strangers you found online. One booking wraps every owner and pro into a single deposit, one agreement, one point of contact — funds release to them after the event.

Every booking on Quid is intermediated end to end: held funds, vetted people, photo proof, and real recourse. That's the difference between an open marketplace and a safe one.
